Abstract:
An experience of rehabilitation through work. Review of the Italian film Sto lavorando? ( I’m working?) of Daniele Segre – The author analyses a short Italian feature film Sto lavorando (I’m working) – directed by Daniele Segre (1998) – which describes the unusual rehabilitative experience, of a young seriously psychotic person, lead by a group of lay professionals (non mental health workers), namely by the full team of waiters, scullery boys, cooks, etc. of the restaurant La Cittadella in Assisi. The patient is included in the group and, in a quiet way, is brought to carry out various activities. The author examines the meaningfulness of this rehabilitative approach and the key features of the linguistic contents of the film.
